Robber hits real estate office
Someone broke into Heavner Realty Co. at 2004 S. Bright Leaf Blvd. in Smithfield some time between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night and 10 a.m. Wednesday morning.

A computer, a TV/VCR combo and a VCR/DVD combo, worth a total of $1,105, were taken from the store, according to a report.

Woman's purse stolen
A Clayton woman reported that her purse was stolen from a grocery store Wednesday, police reported.

The Randolph Road resident left her purse at Lowes Foods on U.S. 70 West. The Gucci purse contained $10 cash, social security cards, a driver's license, a birth certificate, and a $200 camera, according to a report. The items were valued at $345.
