Two men suspected of stealing tires
Authorities arrested two Garner-area men early Thursday morning on charges of stealing tires from a business in the Cleveland community.

Perry David Fulcher Jr., 74, and Brandon Perry Woriax, 20, both of 2301 Lot 122 at U.S. 70, were both charged with breaking and or entering and misdemeanor larceny.

Investigators think Fulcher and Woriax stole 10 tires from Just Tires at 101 Bratton Dr., according to a report from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office. Both were jailed under $15,500 bonds.

Gas stolen near Kenly
Someone pumped more than $49 in gas at the Stop N Go store near Kenly on Wednesday and drove off without paying, according to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

The Stop N Go is located at 11585 N.C. 42.

Man arrested for car break-ins
Smithfield police on Wednesday arrested a local man for various crimes, according to a report. Nicholas Acrawpolis McNeil, 40, of 1231 Old Goldsboro Road, was wanted on warrants for two counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, two counts of misdemeanor larceny, one count of identity theft and one count of attempt to obtain property by false pretenses.

He was arrested at 10:30 a.m. at the Johnston County Jail on warrants issued Dec. 30, 2007. His bond was set at $25,000.

Woman reports assault
Smithfield police are investigating a woman’s report that she was assaulted at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at her workplace, Deacon Jones at 1150 N. Bright Leaf Blvd.

The Princeton resident suffered minor injuries, according to a police report.

Nail salon ripped off
Happy Nails at 1285 N. Bright Leaf Blvd. filed a report with Smithfield police Wednesday evening that the salon were defrauded of $40 worth of services. Police are investigating.
