Guns fired in Clayton
Clayton police investigated two reports of guns being fired Tuesday.

In the first incident, three pistols were seized from Maria Hernandez at her home on South Lombard Street. Police responded to the home after receiving a service call, according to a report.

Also, police responded to a report of a weapon being discharged at the home of Jimmy Bobbitt on South Clayton Street. Herman Mitchiner, of Clayton, and Keisha Sierra, of Hillsborough, were listed as the other people involved in the incident. Damage to Bobbitt's home was estimated at $110.

No arrests were made or injuries reported in both cases.

Smithfield man's car stolen
Smithfield police are investigating the theft of a man’s car from his Waddell Drive home. At 5:27 p.m. Tuesday, the man told police his 2001 Lincoln Navigator was taken from his home sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday.
