Woman charged in car theft
A Benson-area woman was charged Wednesday with felony larceny.

Chasity Ruth Dean, 22, of 415 Turlington Dr. was arrested by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office in connection with the theft of a Ford F-150 that was reported stolen the same day.

The truck, worth $5,000, belonged to Tatum Insulation on Old Drug Store Road near Garner, according to the investigation report.

Dean was jailed under a $40,000 bond.

Two arrested on drug charges
Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Garner-area man and a Four Oaks-area man Wednesday on drug charges.

Gregory Hugh Thomas, 35, of 1402 Buffaloe Road, Garner, was charged with possession of drugs with intent to sell or deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed under a $20,500 bond, according to a report.

Jesse Wayne Johnson, 55, of 288 Rhodes Pond Road, Four Oaks, was charged with maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for drugs and possessing drug paraphernalia. He was jailed under a $20,000 bond.

Selma woman accused of drug possession
A Selma woman was arrested Wednesday for several drug charges, according to a report.

Karen Frazier McNeill, 41, of 610 W. Railroad St. was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver drugs, two counts of selling cocaine and two counts of conspiring to sell or deliver drugs.

McNeill was jailed under a $20,000 bond, according to the investigation report from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

Man suspected of writing bad check
Authorities in Johnston arrested a Dunn-area man Wednesday for writing a worthless check.

Scott Edward Lockamy, 34, of 6644 N.C. 242 South faces a felony charge, according to a report from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office. He was jailed under a $2,500 bond.

Police nab wanted man
Smithfield police arrested a local man wanted on a variety of charges Wednesday night.

Miquel Angel Gonzalez, 21, of 313-A Wilson’s Mills Road, was wanted under warrants issued April 7 for failure to appear, no operator’s license and possession of stolen property, according to a report.

He was arrested at 11:18 p.m. at his home and taken to the Johnston County Jail, where he was placed under a $4,000 bond.
