Easy Life Meals in Clayton has new owners, servicesTodd and Angela Clement are the new owners of Easy Life Meals, a do-it-yourself meal-preparation service in Clayton. Angela was a session coordinator for Easy Life before taking ownership of the business.
“Our first goal is to focus on this [location] first and get all the kinks worked out,” she said. “Hopefully, after next year, we would be looking into opening a second location.”
Customers can prepare nutritious meals, which normally include a vegetable and starch. The meals last up to two weeks and can feed four to six people.
The Clements have added a few new services to make dinner preparation easier for customers. Corporations with orders of 10 or more can have frozen and assembled meals delivered right to their doors. Also, vacation packages, which include free assembly, will be available June through August.
“We have added Almost Catered, which is where we work out the menu for you and prepare everything, but you have to cook it,” Angela said. “We have take-and-make meals. Those are meals that go straight from the freezer to the oven. That is for our last-minute people who forget to cook dinner and don’t feel like ordering pizza again.”
Easy Life Meals is at 1665 Old U.S. 70 West in Shotwell Station Plaza. Visitors can stop by during scheduled work sessions. For additional details, call 585-4278 or go to www.easylifemeals.com.

This ‘Floor’ movesDavis Floor Designs has moved to a bigger home in Pine Level.
David and Sherry Davis opened the flooring business on U.S. 70-A in Pine Level six years ago. The business specializes in Shaw Floor Studio products but carries a host of other brands.
With the additional space at 3241 U.S. 70 East, the Davises have been able to carry even more products. “We have tripled our showroom,” Sherry said. “We have about 2,400 square feet of showroom space, but our warehouse is adjacent to us, and that is an additional 1,600 square feet.”
Staying in Pine Level was important to the owners. “The Pine Level folks have been really good to us, so we didn’t want to go too far,” Sherry said. “Exposure on the main highway has been really good for us.”
To see the new location, stop by between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturdays. The telephone number is 975-0425. The Web site, www.davisfloordesigns.com, is under construction.
