Computer fixes

Having computer woes? Jeffrey Thompson can help.

Thompson has started Thompson Computer Services out of his Smithfield home. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he has worked in the computer industry for more than 10 years. Thompson can diagnose and repair software problems, scan for viruses and install operating systems and all types of software.

Thompson likes to educate clients as he fixes their computer problems. “A lot of computer techs fiddle around, say ‘OK, it’s fixed. Here is the bill. Bye-bye,’” he said. “I can’t stand that. I like for people to become comfortable with the computer, so while I am there, I like to talk to them.”

Thompson primarily serves the Smithfield and Selma communities. To reach him, call 464-0657 or write to jeffbt3@yahoo.com.

Help with housing woes

A new business has opened to help homeowners facing foreclosure.

Jeffrey Bowles and his fiancée, Dena Jackson, have opened Phoenix Investment Property Solutions.

“”We both currently work in a professional capacity in the corporate marketplace,” Bowles said. “We decided to launch this new business venture to educate and assist homeowner’s in this volatile housing market, where foreclosures are up exponentially and lenders are foreclosing on hundreds of millions of dollars of nonperforming loans across the country every day.”

The couple help homeowners who are in distress in Johnston, Durham and Wake counties. “We make every attempt to educate the homeowner and expand their knowledge base on what they can do to circumvent the entire foreclosure process,” Bowles said.

Phoenix Investment Property Solutions is at 65 Glen Road, Suite 656, in the Cleveland community. It is open from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. For more details, call 934-7800 or go to www.phoenix-properties.org.
