Voters in Johnston County towns will go to the polls next Tuesday (Nov. 3) to elect their mayors, council members and commissioners. Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. till 7:30 p.m. Here's a preview of Election Day in each Johnston County town:

Benson

What's at stake: mayor and three at-large commissioner seats (voters may vote for only one commissioner candidate).

Kenly

What's at stake: mayor and two town council seats.

Polling place: Micro Fire Department, 321 U.S. 301 South.

Pine Level

What's at stake: mayor and four commissioner seats (all candidates are unopposed).

Candidate for mayor: incumbent Jeff Holt, jeff@airflowproducts.net.

Candidates for commissioner: incumbents Karen Anderson; Jimmy Garner, jygrnr@aol.com; Anthony Gudac; and Phil Pittman.

Polling place: Pine Level Fire Station, 110 W. Main St.

Princeton

What's at stake: mayor and four district Town Council seats (only two districts have contested races).

Candidate for District 1 (East Smithfield): incumbent Charles Williams.
