Virginia Phillips Roberts, 55, of Strickland Road, Smithfield, died Monday, June 15, at her home.

Born Feb. 7, 1954, in Johnston County, Mrs. Roberts was a daughter of the late J.B. and Violet Eason Phillips. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Wilson’s Mills Civitan Club.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Pollock St., Selma. The Revs. Billie Lawson and Scott Casey will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Mike Roberts; two sons, Chris Roberts and Travis Roberts, both of Smithfield; a daughter, Angie Roberts of Smithfield; a sister, Janet Choplin of Wake Forest; and a grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 till 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be made at parrishfh.com.
