Spaghetti dinner

A spaghetti and meatballs dinner will be held from 4 till 7 p.m. Friday, June 19, at St. Ann Church at 4057 U.S. 70 Business West between Clayton and Smithfield. Prepared by the Knights of Columbus from the church, the dinner will be held in the church pavilion. Tickets are $5; children 5 and younger eat free. To purchase tickets in advance, call 553-8450.

VBS at Burnell Baptist

Burnell Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School June 23-27. Sessions are 6 till 9 p.m. June 23-26 and 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. June 27. Registration will be held from 4 till 6 p.m. June 20. VBS at Bethesda

Bethesda will hold Vacation Bible School Sunday, June 21, through Friday, June 26. Sessions are 6:15 till 8:30 nightly. VBS is for ages 3-5 and rising kindergarteners through sixth-graders. VBS at Hickory Grove Hickory Grove Disciple Church will hold Vacation Bible School today, Wednesday, June 17, through June 19. The event runs from 6:30 till 8:30 nightly. The church is located on Devil’s Race Track Road near Four Oaks.

Breakfast in Princeton

A community breakfast is scheduled from 7 till 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 414 W. 1st St., Princeton. The breakfast is free. Also, the church will give away clothing.

Barbecued chicken

Pine Level First United Methodist Church will serve plates of barbecued chicken from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m. Friday, June 19. Plates are $7 and can be eaten at the church or taken out. A drive-through will be available for takeout. Proceeds go to the church building fund.

Revival at Giles Chapel

Revival services will be held June 17-19 at Giles Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church, 508 S. Peedin Ave., Pine Level. A Men’s Day service will be held Sunday, June 21. Bishop C.V. Richardson of Washington, D.C., will preach. The Carolina Aries of Wilson will sing. For more details, call 965-4675 or 965-2138.

VBS at Elizabeth

Vacation Bible School is scheduled from 2 till 6 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Elizabeth United Methodist Church, 4269 Cleveland Road, Smithfield. The school, for children ages 2-12, will feature indoor and outdoor activities, including music, crafts and games. The church will serve supper at 5:30. Sanders Grove

Theodore David will speak during a Men’s Day service at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 21, at Sanders Grove Baptist Church, 6989 N.C. 210, Smithfield. David is president of the N.C. Laymen’s League of the General Baptist State Convention. The church will be in revival at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, through Friday, June 26. Evangelist Hattie Lofton will speak each evening.

Pleasant Plain

Conference for men

Warren’s Chapel

A Men’s Day service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, June 21, at Warren’s Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church on U.S. 301 North in Micro. The Male Chorus from Union View Church in Bailey will sing.

First Missionary Baptist

First Missionary Baptist Church in Clayton will hold a service to honor men at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 28. The theme will be “I am my brother’s keeper.” The church is located at 304 N. Lombard St., Clayton. For more details, call 553-5519.

VBS at Edgerton

Vacation Bible School for children and adults is scheduled from 11 a.m. till 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Edgerton Memorial United Methodist Church, 401 W. Anderson St., Selma.
