Born Feb. 27, 1949, in Johnston County, Mrs. Barefoot was a daughter of the late Alvester and Neppie Louis Eason. She was a member of Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Pollock St., Selma. The Revs. Gene Payne and Lenny Reagan will officiate.

Surviving are two sons, Jason Barefoot of Pine Level and Jeff Barefoot of Kenly; a brother, Grady Eason of West Virginia; five sisters, Letha Parrish of Zebulon, Betty Hill and Edith Lee, both of Clayton, and Alma Gay Childers and Teresa Shrum, both of Selma; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the funeral home.
