Born Sept. 5, 1951, in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Dorothy Mitchell Peacock.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Minshew-Coley Funeral Home, 103 E. 2nd St., Kenly. The Rev. Chris Watkins will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service. Burial will be private.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Michelle Peacock of Greenville; a son, David Larry Peacock Jr. of Kenly; his father, K. David Peacock of Kenly; a sister, Sue Barnes of Kenly; and three grandchildren.
