Ira D. McLamb, 68, of 2328 N.C. 50 South near Benson died Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Born May 26, 1941, in Johnston County, Mr. McLamb was a son of the late Wiley Nathan and Susie Young McLamb. He was a tobacco farmer.
The funeral was at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. The Revs. Glenn McCullen and Randy Beasley officiated. Burial followed in the Beasley family cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha Parker McLamb; two sons, Marshall D. McLamb and John Michael McLamb, both of Benson; a daughter, Joanie Wood of Four Oaks; a brother, James Charlie "J.C." McLamb of Coats; three sisters, Linda Hayes of Erwin, Vida McLamb of Four Oaks and Elma Wood of Benson; and three grandchildren.
