Sheriff's Department

Derek Darrell Hinton, 17, of 14639 N.C. 96, Zebulon, and Edward Dwane Oneal, 21, of 100 S. Wynnbrook Lane, Selma, were arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of identity theft.

The following were arrested Thursday and charged with breaking and entering, larceny and conspiracy: Andrea Lee West, 21, of 405 W. Elizabeth St., Selma; John Curtis Davis, 23, of 204 W. Griswold St., Selma; David Bradley Wicker, 22, of 508 Winston Circle, Selma; and Timothy Gwen Landers, 18, of 909 River Road, Selma.

Douglas Ryan Parrish Jr., 37, of 1387 Eli Olive Road, Smithfield, was arrested Thursday and charged with possession of methamphetamines.

William Joseph Hill, 21, of 2400 W.C. Braswell Road, Smithfield, and Kim Lee Hill, 42, of 625 Braswell Road, Smithfield, were arrested Thursday and charged with felony larceny.

James Ray Tripp, 47, of 1924 Bakers Chapel Road, Princeton, was arrested Thursday and charged with multiple counts of selling methamphetamine.

Eric Christopher Jones, 21, of 2933 Tram Road, Angier, and Bobby Alan Wall, 21, of 11564 N.C. 210, Angier, were arrested Sept. 23 and charged with possession with intent to sell marijuana.

The following were arrested Sept. 22 and charged with multiple counts of selling cocaine and selling illegal drugs within 1,000 feet of a school: Ignacio Gartrel Ward, 26, of 607 W. Preston St., Selma; Rondrickquiz Williams, 23, of Dunn; and Kendrick Demetrice Williams, 35, of 907 W. Noble St., Selma.

Alyssa Anne Johnson, 30, of 810 Sunshine Road, Kenly, was arrested Sept. 22 and charged with multiple counts of trafficking in opium or heroin.

Anthony Raymond Hoffman Jr., 20, of 7031 Cornwallis Road in the Cleveland community was arrested Sept. 23 and charged with possession of schedule I drugs.

On Sept. 21, someone stole two palm trees and five hibiscus plants from Capriccio's 42 in the Cleveland community.

Dwight Whitfield Badger, 42, of 431 Slate Top Road, Clayton, was arrested Sept. 21 and charged with assault by strangulation.

Hayes Duff Jr., 31, of 8676 Raleigh Road, Clayton, was arrested Sept. 20 and charged with breaking and entering a place of worship and larceny. Duff is suspected of breaking into Smithfield Advent Christian Church.

Home break-ins were reported last week in the following locations: the 10400 block of Buffalo Road near Clayton, Jackson-King Road near Angier, the 7800 block of N.C. 96 near Selma, the 6700 block of Benson-Hardee Road near Benson, the 6200 block of Swift Creek Road near Smithfield and Memory Lane near Benson.

Selma Police

On Sept 19, someone stole a weed trimmer from Selma mayoral candidate and landscaper Timmy Wayne Strickland.

On Sept. 18, officers found a potted marijuana plant on a path off West Street.

Derrick Carl Williams, 18, of Dunn was arrested Sept. 19 and charged with trafficking in opium.

Break-ins were reported last week in the 300 block of South Raiford Street, the 800 block of West Anderson Street, the 600 block of Howell Street, the 500 block of River Road, the 800 block of Taft Street and the 200 block of West Preston Street.

Smithfield Police

Kimberly Natasha Wiggins Royster, 30, of 17 Finney Drive, Smithfield, was arrested Sept. 22 and charged with possessing cocaine.

Home break-ins were reported in the 400 block of North Third Street, the 1100 block of South Second Street, the 100 block of West Underwood Avenue and the 600 block of South Fourth Street.
