Robert L. "Bob" Pearce, 89, of Princeton died Monday, Sept. 21.

Born May 16, 1920, in Johnston County, Mr. Pearce was a son of the late Dock and Minnie Pike Pearce. He was the widower of Jackie Penny Pearce. Mr. Pearce was employed with C.L. Snipes Ford in Goldsboro for 48 years.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Princeton Missionary Baptist Church. Burial followed in Princeton Cemetery.

Surviving are three sons, Bobby Pearce of Princeton, Eddie Pearce of Smithfield and Danny Pearce of Wilmington; four sisters, Gladys Johnson, Ruby Brannan, Clara Curby and Shirley Baiardi; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Princeton Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 215, Princeton, N.C. 27569; or to the Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, P.O. Box 127, Lake Waccamaw, N.C. 28450.
