Born Sept.19, 1925, in Wilson County, Mrs. Cuddingron was a daughter of the late Millard Arthur and Betsy Ellen Evans Phillips. She was the widow of Joseph Mumford "Joe" Cuddington, who died July 1, 1995. Mrs. Cuddington was a member of Fellowship United Methodist Church.

The funeral was at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton. The Revs. Steve Singleton and Ralph Hill officiated. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Surviving are her son, Stephen M. Cuddington of Kenly; five daughters, Jo Etta Aycock of Micro, Sue Blackwell of Apex, Betsy Smith of Virginia Beach, Va., Sheila Johnson of Selma and Evonia Smith of Princeton; two sisters, Ruth Rose Pearson of Wilson and Maxine Parnell of Belfast; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
