Louise Bryant Garner, 83, of Pine Level died Sunday, Sept. 20, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield.

Born June 7, 1926, in Johnston County, Mrs. Garner was the daughter of the late James and Sadie Pulley Bryant. She was a member of Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church.

The funeral was at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, in Selma. The Revs. Joe Ballance and Dennis Pollock officiated. Entombment was at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, in the cemetery at Yelverton Grove Church.

Surviving are her husband, Tommie E. Garner; two sons, Thomas Denny Garner of Snow Hill and Frankie Garner of Pine Level; a brother, Leon Bryant of Goldsboro; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church, 101 N. Peedin Ave., Pine Level, N.C. 27568.
