Born Jan. 5, 1919, Mr. Sanderford was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Sanderford. He was a retired farmer.

The funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton. Pastors Keith DeBord and Ed Rose officiated. Entombment followed in the mausoleum in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Myrtle Sanderford; four sons, Harry E. Sanderford of Wendell and Lonnie D. Sanderford, Donnie R. Sanderford and Sherrill G. Sanderford, all of Clayton; two daughters, Brenda J. Sealey and Tammy Willoughby, both of Clayton; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
