Sheriff's Department

A 1997 Honda Prelude, valued at $5,000, was stolen Thursday on Interstate 95 near Benson.

Daniel Ray Goodling, 20, of 1788 Cleveland Road, Unit 85, Smithfield, was arrested Thursday and charged with carrying a concealed gun and possession with intent to sell schedule IV drugs.

Ernest Ethro, 33, of Jonesboro, Ga., was arrested Oct. 7 and charged with possession with intent to sell schedule VI drugs and possession with intent to sell schedule I drugs.

Larry Hugh Barefoot, 47, of 6229 U.S. 701 S., Four Oaks, was arrested Oct. 6 and charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of a schedule II drug.

Clayton High School student Rafael Maurice Chicco, 17, of 1958 Jack Road, Clayton, was arrested Oct. 5 and charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, financial card theft and multiple counts of financial card fraud and identity theft.

Ronel Alvin Lancaster, 27, of 203 W. Fayetteville St., Micro, was arrested Oct. 5 and charged with possession of marijuana, selling or delivering marijuana and conspiring to sell marijuana.

Joel Harrison Creech, 27, of 3080 Micro Road, Selma, was arrested Oct. 3 and charged with possession of schedule II drugs.

Wesley Thomas Letchworth III, 31, of Kinston was arrested Oct. 3 and charged with trafficking in opium or heroin and possession of methamphetamines.

Home break-ins were reported last week in the following locations: the 5100 block of Covered Bridge Road near Clayton, the 500 block of Hayes Road near Four Oaks, the 1400 block of Zelma Road near Kenly, Wimbledon Court near Clayton, the 8300 block of Flower Hill Road near Middlesex, Dunn Road near Selma, Gray Ghost Street near Benson, Rose Court near Benson, Springfield Court near Clayton, the 1000 block of Braswell Road near Smithfield, the 900 block of Whitley Road near Middlesex, the 5500 block of N.C. 39 near Selma, the 2000 block of Barbour Road near Selma, the 5100 block of Benson-Hardee Road near Benson, Halton Lane near Selma, Lake Side Circle near Willow Spring, Webfoot Drive in the Cleveland community, the 1400 block of Lee Road near Clayton, the 5100 block of U.S. 70 Business West near Clayton, Crazy Horse Court near Wendell and Lake Wendell Road near Wendell.

Selma Police

A 1997 Ford F150 pickup, valued at $2,500, was stolen Oct. 5 from the 900 block of Lincoln Street. An arrest warrant was issued for Cedrick Vaughn Hall, 29, of 209 E. Preston St., Selma.

On Oct. 3, someone broke the glass on the back door of the Selma Lions Club on West Oak Street and stole $1 in candy.

A 24-year-old Garner man reported Oct. 3 that he was robbed of $2,500 at gunpoint and assaulted in the parking lot of Dolls Palace, a nightclub on Graham Street.

Home break-ins were reported last week in the 800 block of North Sharpe Street, Deeban Lane and the 500 block of West Watson Street.

Smithfield Police

On Oct. 7, someone stole two bottles of cologne from Calvin Klein on Industrial Park Drive.

Home break-ins were reported in the 1000 block of South Second Street, the 1000 block of South Bright Leaf Boulevard, the 300 block of North Sixth Street and the 1100 block of Hancock Street.
