Ruth Moore Denton, 73, of 1411 N.C. 55, Coats, died Monday, Oct. 12. Born Dec. 13, 1935, in Johnston County, Mrs. Denton was the daughter of the late John and Eva Pleasant Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of Coats Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Churcch.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, 90 W. Stewart St., Coats. The Revs. Horace Johnson, Bobby Caudle and Jerome Pope will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier.

Surviving are her husband, Don F. Denton; three daugthters, Polly Byrd of Coats, Peggy Lee of Lillington and Joy Norris of Buies Creek; three sons, Gary Denton and Jonathan Denton, both of Coats, and Johnny Denton of Lillington; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great- grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats.
