Louise Jacobs Kirby, 93, of Selma died Saturday, Oct. 17, at her home.

Born March 9, 1916, in Sampson County, Mrs. Kirby was the daughter of the late Mary Lou Jacobs. She was the widow of James Kirby. Mrs. Kirby was retired from Johnston Memorial Hospital, where she was the head cook. She was a member of St. Peter’s Church of Christ in Smithfield. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at St. Peter’s Church of Christ.

Surviving are two granddaughters and a grandson.
