Watkins Chapel

An alternative to Halloween is scheduled from 5 till 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Watkins Chapel Baptist Church at highways 39 and 231 in the Emit community. Sanders Chapel

Oakey Grove

A homecoming service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at Oakey Grove Baptist Church on U.S. 70 Business west of Smithfield. The Rev. Ellis Cozart Jr. will speak. Lunch will follow in the fellowship hall.

Revival in Clayton

The Clayton Church of God of Prophecy will be in revival Nov. 1-4. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The church is at 3075 Old U.S. 70, Clayton. Evangelist Sylvia Staten will speak.

Salvation Temple

A program titled "One Hundred Women Under the Blood" is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at Salvation Deliverance Temple, 420 E. Market St., Smithfield. Pastor Christine Allen will speak. Women are asked to wear red.

Drama at Piney Grove

Piney Grove Baptist Church will stage its third annual "LifeHouse" drama Oct. 29-31 and Nov. 5-7. This year's drama picks up with the lives of the Walsh family. Just as their lives are returning to normalcy, their faith is once again tested. The walk-through drama will feature seven scenes. The program lasts about 45 minutes. Thanksgiving Baptist

Thanksgiving Baptist Church will celebrate its 110th anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 25. Pastor Steve Reed will preach during the 8:30 a.m. contemporary service. Dr. Mark T. White, pastor of First Baptist Church of Clayton, will speak at the 11 a.m. traditional service. White is a former Thanksgiving pastor. Lunch in the fellowship hall will follow the 11 a.m. service. Thanksgiving will hold revival services at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, through Wednesday, Oct. 28. White will also preach for the revival. Feed His Sheep

Feed His Sheep Church will hold revival services at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29-31 at The Clayton Center, 111 E. 2nd St., Clayton. The following will speak: the Rev. Anthony C. Coleman of Faith Covenant Church in Knightdale, Oct. 29; the Rev. James Allen of Lee's Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church near Wendell, Oct. 30; and the Rev. Joseph R. Rogers of Greater Philadelphia Church in Raleigh, Oct. 31.

Blackman's Grove

Plates of barbecued chicken will be on sale from 4 till 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Blackman's Grove Baptist Church fellowship center on Wood-Lee Road near Blackman's Crossroads. The cost is $7 per plate. An auction will begin at 7 p.m.

Bazaar in Clayton

A fall bazaar is scheduled from 8 a.m. till 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Horne Memorial United Methodist Church, 121 E. 2nd St., Clayton. More than 25 vendors will offer their wares, including crafts. For children, the bazaar will offer face painting, games and an antique fire truck. On Friday, Nov. 6, plates of barbecued pork will be on sale from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m. at the church. The cost is $7 per plates and includes barbecue, potatoes, slaw, roll and dessert. Tea, lemonade and coffee will be available for those dining in.

New Birth

Bishop R.B. Mott, pastor of Small Chapel Church near Newton Grove, will speak at 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 21) at New Birth Deliverance Church near Benson.

Mt. Zion

A gospel sing is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Mt. Zion Church of Deliverance, 908 South Ave., Smithfield. A Family and Friends Day service will begin at 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the church.

Smithfield revival

Smithfield First Pentecostal Holiness Church will be in revial Oct. 25-28. The Rev. Donald Massey will speak at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The church is at 1000 Wilson's Mills Road, Smithfield.
