Gary Wayne “Hoagie” Wolfe, 59, of Smithfield died Monday, Oct. 19. Born April 8, 1950, in Person County, he was the son of the late Jack and Ruby Oliver Wolfe.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Pollock St., Selma. The Rev. Dennis Pollock will officiate.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy Mosley Wolfe; a son, Steven Jack Wolfe of Smithfield; a daughter, Sonya Mitchell Wolfe of Smithfield; a stepson, Donnie Baker of Dunn; seven grandchildren; and 13 siblings. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Johnston County Animal Shelter.
