Across the country, Office Max, the office-supply chain, chose more than 1,100 teachers to receive more than $1,000 in classroom supplies.

In Johnston County, the company chose Stephanie Casey, a teacher at Micro-Pine Level Elementary School. In addition to a box full of supplies, she received a new leather chair, two digital cameras and an all-in-one print.

Every year, according to statistics, the average teacher spends $1,000 on her her classroom. That's why Office Max joined with Adopt-A-Classroom for "A Day Made Better."
