Born May 20, 1934, in Johnston County, Mrs. Peacock was a daughter of the late George E. and Virgie Beasley Johnson. She was a homemaker and the owner and operator of Edna’s Edible. Mrs. Peacock was a member of Holly Grove Advent Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, 301 W. Main St., Benson. The Rev. Glenn McCullen will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church.

Surviving are her husband, Ray K. Peacock; three daughters, Barbara Tart, Sherry Dunigan and Connie Stancil, all of Benson; a son, Gary Peacock of Dunn; two sisters, Linda Faye Raynor and Iva Mae Lee, both of Benson; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the funeral home.
