Incumbent Mayor William Massengill soundly defeated his predecessor in the post, Jerry McLamb, in an election with higher turnout than the town saw in 2007. About 750 ballots were cast.

Incumbent commissioners Will Chandler, Frederick Nelson and Doug Oglesby edged out four challengers to win re-election.

Mayor William Massengill, 62%, 470 votes

Jerry McLamb, 38%, 288 votes

Board of Commissioners (3 seats)

Frederick Nelson, 206 votes

Will Chandler, 177 votes

Doug Oglesby, 121 votes

Max Miller, 102 votes

Carolyn Nordan, 96 votes
