Mount Zion UMC

Mount Zion United Methodist Church has announced the schedule of its Christmas services:

"The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," a cantata, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12.

"The Best Present of All," a children's musical, 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Dec. 20.

Christmas Eve -- family interactive service, 4 p.m.; and candlelight Communion, 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The church is at 15772 N.C. 50, a quarter-mile south of N.C. 42, in the Cleveland community.

Moravian love feast

A Moravian love feast is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at Horne Memorial United Methodist Church, 121 E. 2nd St., Clayton. The love feast is a simple meal shared in a spirit of reverence and joy in Christ.

Elizabeth Church

The Children's Choir of Elizabeth United Methodist Church will present "All I Want for Christmas" at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at the church, 4269 Cleveland Road, about four miles east of the old Cleveland School.

New Year's Eve

A New Year's Eve service is scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at Wilson's Mills Church of God, 4869 Wilson's Mills Road, Wilson's Mills. First Missionary

The Drama Troupe of First Missionary Baptist Church in Clayton will present "As Shepherds Watched Their Flocks" at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 20. The church is at 304 N. Lombard St. The Daughters of Zion, a First Missionary group, will go caroling in Clayton on Saturday, Dec. 19.

Thanksgiving Baptist

Christian Women

The Dunn Christian Women's Connection will meet from 9 till 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the Triangle South Enterprise Center, 600 S. Magnolia Ave., Dunn. Diane Scott of High Point will speak on "Why Sink When You Can Swim Like a Swan." Music will be by Betsy Gurney of Benson. The cost is $11 and includes brunch.
