Sheriff's Department

On Dec. 3, someone stole $4,100 worth of hydraulic hose crimper, tires, hydraulic fluid and other items from a site near the intersection of Thomas Road and N.C. 96 near Four Oaks.

Larry David Davis II, 36, of 1538 Thanksgiving Fire Road, Selma, was arrested Nov. 30 and charged with multiple counts of indecent liberties with a child and felony child abuse involving a sexual act.

Tools valued at $3,000 were stolen Nov. 30 from Williamsburg Woodcraft on N.C. 96 near Selma.

On Nov. 30, someone broke into Andy's Burgers on Bratton Drive in the Cleveland community and stole $1,909.

On Nov. 30, three men robbed at gunpoint Warren's Gas and Grocery on U.S. 701 in the Overshot community. It was the second robbery at the store this year.

Tykee Demar Storey, 18, of 107 Forest Island Ave., Smithfield, and Joshua Hassan Brooks, 19, of 108 Copperstone Circle, Smithfield, were arrested Nov. 25 and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, felony conspiracy and discharging a weapon onto occupied property.

Aaron Neil Maas, 29, of 112 Canyon Road, Clayton, was arrested Nov. 25 and charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, obtaining property by false pretense and being a fugitive from another state.

Home break-ins were reported this past week in the following locations: the 2800 block of Richardson Road near Zebulon, the 14200 block of N.C. 210 near Angier, the 8100 block of Elevation Road near Benson, the 1300 block of White Memorial Church Road near Willow Spring, the 1700 block of Indian Camp Road near Clayton, the 4200 block of U.S. 70 East near Smithfield, Serenity Drive near Smithfield, the 1900 block of Baker's Chapel Road near Smithfield, the 1600 block of Friendship Church Road near Middlesex, Drag Strip Road near Benson, the 6300 block of N.C. 242 South near Dunn and the 1800 block of Juniper Church Road near Four Oaks.

Selma Police

On Dec. 2, someone stole a 1996 Nissan Maxima, valued at $3,000, from the 400 block of Jefferson Street. The victim reported that she'd left the keys in the car.

On Dec. 1, someone broke into Selma Auto Center and stole 13 mufflers and more than $10,000 in tools.

Deportation proceedings have begun against Oscar Geovany Reyes Arevalo, 29, of 601 Washington St., Selma. Police reports show he was wanted by Immigration Customs Enforcement.

William Dale Eubanks, 17, and Staceye Dale Eubanks, 22, both of 116 Stevens Drive, Middlesex, were arrested Dec. 2 and charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny. They are suspected in a car break-in on North Bright Leaf Boulevard in Smithfield.

Home break-ins were reported in the 300 block of East Richardson Street and the 400 block of Dixie Drive.

Smithfield Police

Memory Lane Frames on South Third Street was broken into Dec. 1 and a generator was stolen.

A 51-year-old Princeton woman reported that she was robbed of $124 in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on North Bright Leaf Boulevard.

Oscar Aguilar, 17, of 11105 N.C. 222, Middlesex, was arrested Nov. 28 and charged with possession of cocaine.

Alvaro Mendez Valdez, 30, of 103 Brentwood Trail Unit 3, Fremont, was arrested Nov. 28 and charged with possession of cocaine.

Home break-ins were reported on Sunset Drive, Kay Drive, the 800 block of South Crescent Drive, the 900 block of Second Avenue, Southwood Drive, the 400 block of East Woodall Street and the 1100 block of Martin Luther King Drive.
