Betty Parrish Strickland, 71, passed away on December 10, 2009. Funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:00p.m. at McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Carroll and Rev. Lloyd Hargis officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park Mausoleum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Strickland, brother, Sherold Parrish, sister, Annie Strickland and brother Rudolph Parrish. She is survived by her son, Michael S. Strickland; daughter, Debbie Hogg & husband, David; grandchildren Amanda Barnes, Blake Hogg, Jason Hogg, Nicole Strickland; four great grandchildren; brothers, Clarence Parrish, Harvey Parrish, Harold Parrish and Charles Parrish; several nieces and nephews; several special sister-in-laws. While flowers are appreciated memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary's Street, Raleigh, NC 27605.
