Evangelist to speak

Evangelist Hattie Lofton of Smithfield will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at Temple of New Beginning Ministry, 1867 Neill Creek Road, Lillington.

Also, she will speak at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan 27, at New Life Outreach Ministry, 708 Sampson St., Clinton.

Pack-A-Pew Day

Pack-A-Pew Day is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at Wesley Chapel AME Church, 867 Cleveland Road, Smithfield.

The event will feature music by the Wesley Chapel Male Chorus, the Saint Amanda Male Chorus, the Smithfield Community Male Chorus, Marvin Badger and William Taylor.

Women on the Move for PEACE will offer biblical life-skills class at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at New Generation Christian Church, 4423 Wilson's Mills Road, Wilson's Mills. Dr. Carolyn Penny will teach the class.

Wildlife supper, auction

The annual wildlife supper and auction is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, in the fellowship hall at Burnell Baptist Church, 3720 Old School Road, Four Oaks. Bring wildlife dishes.

Gospel concert

The Redeemed of Kenly, a gospel-music group, will perform at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at Sardis Baptist Church 5444, Brogden Road, Smithfield.

Admission is free; the church will collect an offering for the group.

Gospel music at New Jerusalem

Tommy Hodge & The Crossroad Ramblers will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church, located on the corner of N.C. 222 and Jerusalem Church Road near Kenly.

Gospel Explosion

A gospel explosion is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at Union Hill AME Church in Wilson's Mills.

The following will perform: the Johnston County Fellowship Mass Choir, the Male Chorus from St. Peter's Church of Christ in Smithfield, For Your Glory and Angels of Christ.

Music at Mount Zion

Wake Christian Academy's chorale and handbell choir will perform at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 15772 N.C. 50 North, a quarter mile south of N.C. 42 in the Cleveland community.

Mt. Calvary

Union services will be held Jan. 27-29 at Mt. Calvary Holiness Church of Deliverance, 114 Lakeview Drive, Four Oaks.
