Clayton — Starbucks announced that it will close 600 under-performing stores Tuesday.

Starbucks opened a Clayton store on U.S. 70 between Hardee's and Waffle House two years ago.

Edelman, a public relations firm that represents Starbucks, said specific locations that close have not been finalized.
