The Men's Group at Smithfield Advent Christian Church will serve its monthly breakfast at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. The church is at the corner of Galilee Road and N.C. 210 west of Smithfield.

Movie in Pine Level

Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church will show the movie "Fireproof" at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, the sanctuary at 110 S. Peedin Ave. Admission is free. Free drinks and popcorn will be available in the parking lot starting at 3 p.m. The Pine Level Fire Department will have a truck on display. A nursery will be available.

Barbour's Chapel

Heaven's Way, a gospel music group, will sing at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at Barbour's Chapel Advent Christian Church off of Black Creek Road near Four Oaks.

Freedom Baptist

Freedom Baptist Church will celebrate its 47th anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 27. Sunday School for children and Bible study for adults will begin at 10 a.m. Evangelist Max Alderman of Statesboro, Ga., will speaking during the 11 a.m. worship hour. Dinner on the grounds will follow. An afternoon service will be at 2 p.m. Alderman, a longtime pastor, will speak during revival at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 28-30.

Canaanland in Selma

Canaanland will sing at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at Selma Pentecostal Holiness Church at the corner of Richardson and Webb streets in Selma.

Progressive Church

Progressive Presbyterian Church will celebrate homecoming on Sunday. The Rev. Terry Woodard, a native of the Princeton community, will speak during the morning worship hour. A covered-dish meal will follow. The church is at 3790 Progressive Church Road near Princeton.

Mitchener Memorial

A fall jubilee is scheduled from noon till 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Mitchener Memorial Baptist Church, 911 Blount St., Smithfield. The festival will feature food, games and entertainment, including music.

Homecoming in Selma

Selma Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming on Sunday. Legacy will perform at 10:30 a.m. The morning worship service will follow. The Rev. Ray Brown will speak. Lunch will follow in the fellowship hall. The church is at the corner of West Elizabeth and Graves streets.

Revival in Clayton

The Clayton Church of God of Prophecy will be in revival this weekend. Evangelist Zachary Barnes, 15, of Laurinburg will speak at 11 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call Pastor Ronald Peedin at 965-8353.

Greater Heights

A fellowship service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday. Sept. 27, at Greater Heights Christian Center, 814 2nd Ave., Smithfield. Overseer Deborah Kornegay will speak.

Avery Grove AME

Avery Grove AME Zion Church will celebrate homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 27. The morning worship hour will begin at 11 a.m. The church is on Freedom Road near Smithfield.

Green Chapel

Green Chapel Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 27. The Rev. DeAshely Curtis, pastor, will speak at 11 a.m. Pastor Frances Shepherd of Holy Temple Church will speak at 3 p.m.

Tee's Chapel revival

Tee's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church will be in revival Sept. 27-Oct. 1. The Rev. Billy Nowell will speak at 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The church is at 6434 Brogden Road east of Smithfield.

Everett Chapel

Everett Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 27. Sunday School will begin at 9:45 a.m. The Rev. Curtis Jones will speak during the 10:30 a.m. worship hour. Lunch will follow the service. The church is at 307 Everett Ave. in Clayton.

Revival at Galilee

Revival services are scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, Sept. 23-25, at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 2017 Galilee Road, Smithfield. The following will speak: the Rev. S. Manfred Isom, Wednesday; the Rev. Letez Jones, Thursday; and Evangelist Addie Rawls, Friday.

Evangelist to speak

Evangelist Hattie Lofton of Smithfield will speak at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23-25 at Zion Springs Disciples of Christ Church, 309 Warren Ave., Bunn.

Mount Zion UMC

Mount Zion United Methodist Church will present its bicentennial drama at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, in the sanctuary. "Mount Zion: 200 Years of Blessings" is a historical drama with music. The bicentennial celebration will continue with homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 27. The 10:30 a.m. worship hour will feature music, a mortgage-burning ceremony and monologues. Lunch will follow. The church's bicentennial quilt, historical photos and artifacts will be on display. The church is at 15772 N.C. 50, a quarter-mile south of N.C. 42 in the Cleveland community.
