First Assembly

A fall festival is scheduled from 6 a.m. till 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at First Assembly of God, 923 Booker Dairy Road, Smithfield. The festival will feature a yard sale, games, crafts, breakfast and lunch items, funnel cakes, homemade ice cream and snow cones.

Festival at Sardis

A fall festival is scheduled from 6 till 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Sardis Baptist Church, 5444 Brogden Road, Smithfield. The festival will feature hot dogs and games.

Breakfast at SACC

The Men's Group at Smithfield Advent Christian Church will serve its monthly breakfast at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. A Hallelujah Party is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at the church, which is at the corner of Galilee Road and N.C. 210 west of Smithfield. The party will feature music and games with prizes.

'Trunk or Treat'

"Trunk or Treat" will be held today (Wednesday, Oct. 28) at Sharon Baptist Church, 116 Britt St., Smithfield. The church will serve a hot dog supper at 6:15 p.m. Games and "trunk or treat" will be at 6:45 p.m. Admission is free for children, who are encouraged to wear costumes. The church asks adults to pay $3. For more information, call the church office at 934-8845.

Everett Chapel

"Trunk or Treat" for children is scheduled from 5 till 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Everett Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church, 307 Everett Ave., Clayton. The evening will feature games, hot dogs and other goodies to eat.

Baptist Center

A fall festival is scheduled from 6 till 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Baptist Center Church, 2163 Ranch Road, Clayton. The festival will feature games, inflatables, a hayride and food. Separately, the Smith Family Singers will perform at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at the church.

Burnell barbecue

Barbecued pork will be on sale from 4 till 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Burnell Baptist Church, 3720 Old School Road, Four Oaks. Plates will be $7, and barbecue by the pound will be $5.

Fish and shrimp

Plates of fish and shrimp will be on sale from 4 till 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Bentonville Community Building on Devil's Race Track Road. The cost is $8 for "all you can eat" shrimp and, or fish. A country store will offer homemade cakes, pies, candy and cookies. Proceeds will go to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, which will also have copies of its cookbook for sale.

Hickory Grove

A fall festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, at Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church, 2595 Lassiter Road, Four Oaks. Plates of chicken and pastry will be on sale for $6 from 4 till 7 p.m. An auction will run from 7 till 11 p.m. The church youth will sell hot dogs, hamburgers and sweets throughout the night.

Pauline Baptist

"Trunk or Treat" is scheduled from 6 till 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Pauline Baptist Church, 501 Strickland's Crossroads Road, Four Oaks. In addition to candy, the evening will feature Bingo, cakewalks and hot dogs.

Paschal to perform

Janet Paschal will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 4440-A Piney Grove Road, Angier. The Angier trio Mercy's Cross will open. First Missionary

A Halloween party with food and games is scheduled from 6 till 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at First Missionary Baptist Church at Fourth and Caswell streets in Smithfield.

Women's conference

Fairview Fellowship

A homecoming service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at Fairview Contemporary Fellowship, 5390 N.C. 39, Selma. Danny Brown wil speak. A covered-dish meal will follow the service. Wilson's Mills

Mt. Calvary Holiness

An alternative to Halloween is scheduled from 5 till 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Watkins Chapel Baptist Church at highways 39 and 231 in the Emit community. Sanders Chapel

Sanders Chapel United Methodist Church will hold its annual Harvest Sale on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the Pomona Creech Community Building on Brogden Road five miles east of Smithfield. The church will served a home-cooked meal at 6 p.m. An auction at 7 p.m. will offer crafts, baked goods, flowers and other items.

Revival in Clayton

The Clayton Church of God of Prophecy will be in revival Nov. 1-4. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The church is at 3075 Old U.S. 70, Clayton. Evangelist Sylvia Staten will speak.

Feed His Sheep

Feed His Sheep Church will hold revival services at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29-31 at The Clayton Center, 111 E. 2nd St., Clayton. The following will speak: the Rev. Anthony C.
