Concert in Smithfield The N.C. Baptist Singers and Orchestra will perform at 6:45 p.m. Monday, May 18, at First Baptist Church, 202 S. 4th St., Smithfield. The group is made up of 120 ministers of music, organists, pianists and other musicians from Baptist churches across the state. Admission is free; the church will collect an offering for the group.

Trinity homecoming Trinity Free Will Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming on Sunday, May 17. The Rev. Norman Simpson will speak during the 11 a.m. worship hour. The church is at 4075 Little Creek Church Road, Clayton.

Sanders Grove A Mother of the Year celebration is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, May 17, at Sanders Grove Baptist Church on N.C. 210 west of Smithfield. The Rev. Dorothy O’Neal will speak. She is pastor of Feed His Sheep Ministries in Clayton.

Revival services are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. May 19-22 at Johnston Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 6147 Raleigh Road, Benson. Minister Alesa McLeod of Linden will speak.

Green Chapel Baptist

The Rev. DeAshely Curtis is celebrating his anniversary as pastor of Green Chapel Baptist Church. Services in his honor are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at the church, 2861 Brogden Road, Smithfield. The Rev. W.H. Lucas will speak in the morning. Evangelist Hattie Lofton will speak at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 17, at St. Luke Disciples of Christ Church, 636 Waller Road, Mount Olive.
