Seven Johnston County high school seniors have received N.C. Teaching Fellows scholarships.

They are Jamillia Breanne Lackey of Clayton High School; Jessica Lauren Byrd, Pauline Elisabeth Gremaud, Chad Everett Holloman and Anna Michelle Murray, all of North Johnston High School; Caroline Meredith Dunn of South Johnston High School; and Elizabeth Bhriel Perniciaro of West Johnston High School.

The following are scholarship alternates: Alyssa Nicole Adlman and Emily Grace Coates, both of Clayton High, and Keeley Shea Spivey of West Johnston High.

Each Teaching Fellow receives a $26,000 scholarship loan from the state. The full loan is forgiven after the Fellow has completed four years of teaching in North Carolina public schools.
