ZEBULON -- Sheriff’s deputies used a search dog Sunday to pick up the trail of a 21-year-old Zebulon man who fled when they tried to arrest him on multiple charges, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

Pablo Gonzalo Marcano of 9700 Cypress Farm Road was still at large late Sunday night, wanted for armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and at least four misdemeanors, Phyllis Stephens, spokeswoman for the Wake County Sheriff’s office, said Sunday night.

Stephens said there may be at least one more outstanding charge against Marcano.

Deputies said Marcano fled on foot early Sunday when they arrived at his home with the outstanding warrants.

“He was headed toward the Johnston County line,” Stephens said.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts can call the Wake County Sheriff’s Office at (919) 856-6911.
