McGEE'S CROSSROADS - Four McGee's Crossroads Elementary School students were released from the hospital Thursday night after suffering minor injuries in a bus crash.

The accident happened on N.C. 210 near the school when a Willow Spring woman's sport utility vehicle collided with the school bus head-on. She was charged with reckless driving.

The bus driver was also released from the hospital. The other students on the bus, which was full, were unhurt and were taken back to the school on another bus to be picked up by parents, said Terri Sessoms, spokeswoman for the Johnston County schools.

"The children did an excellent job," Sessoms said. "For the most part, they remained calm and they followed directions."
