Benson - Authorities are still trying to figure out how a truck rammed into a gas station late Tuesday morning.

A Precision Scale Systems truck hit Handy Hugo's at the intersection of N.C. 27 West and Red Hill Church Road. The driver was not injured.

Another Dodge passenger car slammed into a pole on N.C. 27 West, across from the gas station. The driver, a Hispanic male, was alert and awake before being transported to a hospital for medical treatment, said Benson police.

No customers were injured in the accident.

Johnston and Harnett county rescue workers and police responded to the wreck. The N.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
