Willow Spring — A local man died in a single-vehicle accident here early Sunday morning, the N.C. Highway Patrol reported.

Edgar Molar, 33, of 1832 Sanders Road, was driving on Sanders Road near Wagner Road when his vehicle struck a tree shortly after 2 a.m. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and Molar did not have any passengers, the report said.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, the Highway Patrol reported.
