Johnny Frank Lassiter, 55, of Maple Street in Smithfield died Sunday, May 24.

Born April 22, 1954, in Johnston County, he was a son of the late James Garland and Eva Langdon Lassiter.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, at Princeton Church of God. The Revs. Raymond Mizzell and Bill Braswell will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving are a son, Jonathan Lassiter of Angier; two brothers, Willis Lassiter of Selma and Robert Lassiter of Burgaw; five sisters, Linda Lassiter of Benson, Judy Braswell of Princeton and LaRue Rogers, both of Princeton, and Merle Parrish and Jean Barnes, both of Smithfield; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests contributions to help with funeral costs.
