Born July 2, 1913, in Edgecombe County, Mr. Hamilton was the son of the late Charles and Lina Peele Hamilton. He was the widower of Martha Ellen Johnson Hamilton.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 29, at Minshew Funeral Home, 5820 U.S. 301 South, Four Oaks. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield.

Surviving are his sister, Mary Jones of Piedmont, S.C.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from noon till 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
