Joyce J. Davis of Clayton died Monday, June 1. She was the widow of G.
Russell Davis, who died in October of 2001.The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at McLaurin Funeral
Home, 12830 U.S. 70 Business West, Clayton. Pastor D.A. Leonard will
officiate. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park.Surviving are her stepdaughter, April Cain of Cary; a stepson, Creig
Davis of Clayton; a sister, LaVerne Davis of Elm City; and five
brothers, Dewey Jones, Donald Jones and Durwood Jones, all of Selma,
Eardith Jones of Micro and Nelson Jones of Pine Level.The family will receive friends from 1 till 2 p.m. Wednesday at the
