Born March 24, 1928, in Johnston County, Mr. Boyette was a son of the late Oscar L. and Dolly Scott Boyette. He was the widower of Hattie Ratcliffe “B” Boyette. Mr. Boyette was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was retired from Louis G. Ratcliffe Inc. Mr. Boyette was a member of Myers Park United Methodist Church. He enjoyed teaching children to water ski, swim and drive a boat.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton.

Surviving are his daughter, Lynn Boyette; his sister, Melva Wallace; and many nieces and nephews.
