Mr. Adams was a son of the late John and Velma Lee Adams. He was the widower of Rosa Lee Adams.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at West & Dunn Funeral Home, 208 W. Main St., Benson. The Revs. Doug Abel and Glenn McCullen will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Ann Mumford of Benson; three sons, Bernice Adams and Wayne Adams, both of Benson, and Bryant Adams of Newton Grove; a brother, Raeford Adams of Benson; three sisters, Joyce Raynor of Nashville, Tenn., Laura Mae Hay of Benson and Maurine Adams of Angier; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the funeral home.
