Annie Parker Fields, 72, of Selma died Wednesday, Oct. 7, at her home.

Born June 26, 1937, in Goldsboro, Mrs. Fields was a daughter of the late Lillie Turnage Parker and Andrew Robinson Parker. She was the widow of Norwood Earl Fields. Mrs. Fields was a hairstylist's assistant and a member of Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed the beach, entertaining her family, boating, traveling, eating out and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Rouse Funeral Home in La Grange. The Rev. Bill Sutton officiated. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery.

Surviving are a daughter, Vanessa Gilley of Selma; a twin sister, Fannie Parker Widener of Goldsboro; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the SECU Hospice House, in care of the Johnston Memorial Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 1376, Smithfield, N.C. 27577.
