John D. Burgart, II, 67, of Clayton died Thursday, Oct. 15. He was the widower of Judy Burgart.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel in Clayton. Pastor Curtis Jones officiated.
Surviving are two sons, John D. "Trip" Burgart III and Jody Burgart, both of Clayton; and four grandchildren.
The family suggests contributions to Clayton Area EMS, P.O. Box 45, Clayton, N.C. 27528.
