Born Sept. 25, 1925, in Harnett County, Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late William Nathaniel and Rosa Ella Parrish Dupree. She was the widow of Lawrence Smith.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Pollock St., Selma. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park at Whitley Heights.

Surviving are a son, Dennis Smith of Smithfield; a daughter, Phereba Holland of Princeton; a sister, Flonnie Mae Tart of Clayton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 till 9 p.m. Friday, June 13, at the funeral home.
