The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church in Clayton. Dr. Steve Roy will officiate. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Jones; three daughters, Susan Hoy and Sheree Vaughan, both of Clayton, and Beth Darden of Oxford; a son, Philip H. Jones of Clayton; three brothers, Duke Jones of Clayton, Clarence Jones of Newport and Grover C. Jones of Garner; a sister, Margaret Seagroves of Clayton; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 till 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 U.S. U.S. 70 Business West, Clayton.

The family suggests memorial contributions may to the Building Fund at Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church, P.O. Box 339, Clayton, N.C. 27528.
