Mary Katherine Godwin, 74, of Smithfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Britthaven.
Born Nov. 2, 1933, in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Muns and Mattie Lancaster Godwin.
The funeral was at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21 at Bethesda Baptist Church. The Rev. Gary Burden officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Surviving are a sister, Dorothy Langston of Smithfield; and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Bethesda Baptist Church, 4967 U.S. 70 Business West, Clayton, N.C. 27520.
