Born May 9, 1914, in Johnston County, Mrs. Grice was the daughter of the late Willie E. and Clydia Lee. She was a longtime member of Mill Creek Christian Church.

The funeral was at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Mill Creek Christian Church. Burial followed in the Grice family cemetery near Strickland’s Crossroads.

Surviving are her siblings and half-siblings, Eston Lee, Edward Lee and Earl Lee, all of Four Oaks, Ruth Westbrook, Verline Barbour and Dorothy Underhill, all of Smithfield, Rachel Aman of Clinton and Naomi Coker of Tampa, Fla.
