Jones Thomas “J.T.” Medlin, 72, of Pine Level died Monday, Oct. 6, at his home.

Born June 27, 1936, in Johnston County, Mr. Medlin was a son of the late William Henry and Annie Lillian Aycock Medlin. He was the widower of Linda Oliver Medlin, who died July 15, 1995. Mr. Medlin was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Parrish Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Pollock St., Selma. The Rev. Harold Medlin will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in the Aycock family cemetery.

Surviving are his son, Andy Medlin of Selma; two brothers, Tony Medlin of Princeton and Elbert Medlin of Selma; and two sisters, Ethel Worley of Princeton and Adell Sauls of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends from 10 till 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
